Aims

To set the highest point and max. edge point of Industrial Smokestacks for marking it to air traffic.

Method

Due to its special features, the aviation obstruction light installed must be installed between 1.5m to 3m on the top of industrial smokestacks. When the smokestack is more than 150m, the aviation obstruction light can be installed lower than 7.5m of the top of smokestacks.

1. For Smokestack less than 45m, install a medium intensity aviation obstruction light on the top, and paint 7 color units.
2. For Smokestack between 45m to 150m, install a high intensity aviation obstruction light on the top, and medium intensity aviation light on the other layer of the smokestack; the distance between the neighboring layer should be less than or equals 45m.
3. For Smokestack more than 150m, install a high intensity aviation obstruction light on the top, and the distance between the neighboring layers where aviation lights installed should be 75m to 105m.
